After announcing he was entering the 2020 presidential race, Joe Biden has positioned himself as a frontrunner in a packed Democratic field – and just landed himself a major endorsement.
The International Association of Fire Fighters announced Monday morning they are endorsing the fomer Vice President, who, according to Fox News, has strong ties to the union.
I couldn't be more proud to have the International Association of Fire Fighters on my team. Unions built the middle class in this country—and as President, I'll fight to strengthen them and grow the backbone of this country. https://t.co/rsUEowyxz7

“On behalf of the International Association of Fire Fighters, I’m proud to announce that we stand with Joe Biden and endorse his candidacy for President of the United States,” IAFF general president Harold Schaitberger revealed in a video.
“Joe’s a lot like our firefighters,” Schaitberger said. “He’s a problem solver who cares deeply about America and committed to making our country better. He’s one of the staunchest advocates for working families.”
The endorsement is the first by a major union for the upcoming 2020 election.
