The protest song, written by Springsteen’s longtime friend and musician Joe Grushecky, takes aim at Trump’s stance on immigration in particular.
Grushecky revealed he wrote the song after Trump appeared to make fun of a reporter with disabilities.
“I have special needs people in my family and in my neighborhood,” Grushecky told the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. “I worked with special needs people my whole life and I was really offended by it.”
Springsteen has been vocal regarding his dislike for Trump. In the past he has called Trump’s Muslim travel ban “fundamentally un-American” and called the president’s leadership style one that is fashioned out of “anxiety, fragility and insecurity.”
