Canadian Prime Minister Says Refugees Welcome in Canada

Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, stated refugees would be welcome in Canada in reaction to Donald Trump’s order suspending the United States’ refugee system for 120 days. President Trump also signed an executive order barring citizens of Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Syria from entering the U.S for 90 days, even if they hold a visa.

Tweeting a picture of himself greeting a young Syrian refugee, Trudeau commented, “#WelcometoCanada.”



Prime Minister Trudeau stated, “To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength.”


President Trump stated his extreme vetting is an effort to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States.

Trump’s executive order has caused chaos at U.S airports as Muslims from the seven countries are detained. Demonstrators across the United States have descended on airports to show their outrage at Trump’s order. The president’s order has also raised a few suspicious eyebrows for not including citizens of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.
