After President Trump asked Jeff Sessions to resign as Attorney General, CBS News are reporting former Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, is being considered for the position.
….We thank Attorney General Jeff Sessions for his service, and wish him well! A permanent replacement will be nominated at a later date.

Christie ran against Trump for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, before dropping out early in race and campaigning for Trump.
Since ending his term as New Jersey Governor in 2018, Christie has largely been out of the political arena, serving as a contributor for ABC.
According to Business Insider, Christie is an experienced prosecutor who served as the US attorney for New Jersey for six years until 2008.
