Fox have cancelled the O’Reilly Factor, thus ending Bill O’Reilly’s 21-year stint at Fox News.

The shocking news came amidst numerous harassment allegations against the conservative broadcaster.

21st Century Fox boss Rupert Murdoch, together with his sons Lachlan and James, made the announcement Wednesday afternoon, saying, “After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the Company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel.”

O’Reilly released a statement disputing the claims against him, saying, “Over the past twenty years at Fox News I have been extremely proud to launch and lead one of the most successful news programs in history…It is tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims. But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today.”

He went on to thank his fans and ended his statement by saying, “I wish only the best for Fox News Channel.”
