Google has announced an update to their Gmail service which will convert phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses and contacts into clickable hyperlinks.

The updated feature will be available on the web and Gmail’s app on iOS and Android.

When a user clicks on an address hyperlink they will be taken directly to Google maps. Clicking on a telephone hyperlink will start a call request and clicking on an email hyperlink will start a new email composition.

Google anticipates it will take up to three days for the update to take effect.
