Former Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, has revealed she will donate any campaign contributions from Harvey Weinstein to charity.
Clinton made the announcement to CNN during an interview, in which she said although it wasn’t possible to return campaign contributions back to Weinstein she would donate them to charity.
“What other people are saying, what my former colleagues are saying, is that they’re going to donate it to charity, and of course I will do that. I give 10% of my income to charity every year, this will be a part of that. There’s no doubt about it.”
Over the years Weinstein has contributed both to Clinton’s 2016 presidential candidacy, Clinton’s HILLPAC Committee and the Clinton Foundation, according to the Associated Press.

On Tuesday Clinton released a statement regarding the sexual harassment allegations surrounding Weinstein, in which she wrote, “I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein. The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated. Their courage and the support of others is critical in helping to stop this kind of behavior.”
