Ivanka Trump’s clothing line is feeling the effects of her father’s campaign for presidency. Since the private recording of Donald Trump’s conversation with Access Hollywood’s, Billy Bush, was leaked, infuriated women have called for a boycott of Ivanka’s line.

#GrabYourWallets has gone viral on social media, with women urging department stores to pull the clothing line and threatening they will stop shopping at those stores until the clothes have been removed.

In an interview with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America, Ivanka, who appeared alongside the whole Trump family, responded to the firestorm saying, “The beauty of America is people can do what they like. I prefer to talk to the millions, tens of millions, who are inspired by the brand and the message I have created.”

“My advocacy of women, trying to empower them in all aspects of their life, started long before this presidential campaign did,” the 34-year-old continued. “I’ve never politicized that message, people who are seeking to politicize it because they may disagree with the politics of my father, there’s nothing I can do to change that.”

Ivanka began developing the line of products for her fashion business in 2007.
