In a speech which seemed to render the President speechless, Kanye told reporters in the Oval Office, “There was something about putting this hat on that made me feel like Superman.”
“You made a Superman cape for me,” West told the President. “That’s my favorite superhero.”
West had been invited to the White House to have lunch with President Trump and also to meet with Jared Kushner to discuss topics such as crime in Kanye’s hometown of Chicago, urban revitalization and future clemencies.
Instead, the rapper launched into an almost ten-minute long speech spanning topics such as mental health – insisting he has been misdiagnosed with bipolar when really he is sleep deprived – proposed replacing Air Force One with the “iPlane 1” from Apple, inadvertently revealed his iPhone password, and finally got around to the topic of violence in Chicago.
“Let’s stop worrying about the future, all we have is today,” West told reporters, adding, “Trump is on his hero’s journey right now. He might not have thought he’d have a crazy [expletive] like “Kanye West” to support him.”
