Meghan Markle has made a triumphant return to Instagram – this time with husband, Prince Harry, by her social media side.
The expectant royals have broken with royal tradition and opened a joint Instagram account that has already garnered 3.5 million followers.
Using the handle @sussexroyal, the Duke and Duchess have already started posting updates of their lives initially revealing on the site, “Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal.”
It’s likely updates – including that approaching royal birth announcement – will come via the couple’s Instagram account from now on and not the @KensingtonRoyal Twitter page they shared with Prince William and Kate. Interestingly enough that social media account has been updated with just a picture of William, Kate and their kids and a description reading, “The official account of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Royal Foundation, based at Kensington Palace.”
Prior to her relationship with Prince Harry, Meghan had an Instagram account, which she deleted in January 2018 along with her lifestyle blog The Twig.
