Meghan Markle will be changing her religion prior to walking down the aisle with Britain’s Prince Harry.

The former Suits actress, who was raised Protestant, will be baptized in the Church of England, according to The Sunday Times.

According to US Weekly, Markle is reportedly converting out of respect for Queen Elizabeth II. The 36-year-old will be joined at the traditional ceremony by mom, Doria Ragland and dad, Thomas Markle.

The traditional Anglican ceremony will be held at Kensington Palace later this month and the baptism will be performed by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby who will also officiate the May 19 royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The couple just announced last week they want members of the general public to share in the festivities of their wedding day and plan to invite 2,640 members of the public to Windsor Castle on the special day to watch the arrival of the bride and groom.
