Naturally social media was abuzz with theories as to where the 15-year-old was.

As it turns out Sasha had an important school exam the following morning, which left her back at home in the White House hitting the books. Students all over the world now have no excuse to miss those important exams.

Obama’s farewell address broke with tradition in that he chose to give the speech in Chicago, the city which saw the birth of his political career.

In an emotional tribute to his wife Michelle, Obama held back tears saying, “Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, girl of the South Side. For twenty-five you have not only been my wife, the mother of my children, you have been my best friend. You took on a job you didn’t ask for, and you made it your own with grace and with grit and with style and good humor.”

“You made the White House a place that belonged to everybody,” Obama continued. “You have made me proud, and you have made the country proud.”
