‘Pac-Man’ Gaming Guru, Masaya Nakamuri, Dies at 91

Japanese ‘Pac-Man’ pioneer, Masaya Nakamuri, has passed away at the age of 91.

Nakamuri, known affectionately as the ‘Father of Pac-Man’ founded the gaming giant company, Namco, back in 1955. He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun by the Japanese government for his services to the gaming industry.

Pac-Man first went on sale in 1980 and has been named by Guinness World Record as the world’s most successful coin operated video game.
