President Trump has announced where and when he will have his historic meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jung Un.

The president took to Twitter to announce the pair will meet on June 12th in Singapore.

“The highly anticipated meeting between Kim Jung Un and myself will take place in Singapore on June 12th. We will both try to make it a very special moment for World Peace!” the President wrote of the historic meeting.

Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, has visited North Korea three times in the precursor to the meeting and returned last night with three captive Americans North Korea agreed to release.

The returning prisoners were met by President Trump and the First Lady during an overnight welcome ceremony on board the military plane that carried them home to freedom. The three detainees have been moved to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a medical evaluation.
