President Trump has arrived in Singapore ahead of his historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

According to the Washington Post, Air Force One touched down at Singapore’s Paya Lebar Air Base on Sunday evening, a few hours after Kim arrived.
The meeting, which will be the first time a sitting president of the United States has met with a North Korean leader, will take place at the Capella Hotel on the resort island of Sentosa.
President Trump led America’s return to leadership on the international stage, while prioritizing America’s interests.

Speaking to the media shortly before leaving Canada after attending the G7 Summit , President Trump told reporters he would know “within the first minute” how serious Kim is about striking a deal.

“It’s unknown territory in the truest sense,” Trump told reporters. “But I really feel confident. I feel that Kim Jong Un wants to do something great for his people and he has that opportunity and he won’t have that opportunity again. It’s a one-time shot and I think it’s going to work out very well.”
