The Queen has awarded Kate Middleton a great honor by appointing her a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

The title is the highest rank in a form of chivalry granted by a sovereign.

Buckingham Palace announced the news, which also coincides with Kate and William’s 8th wedding anniversary, revealing in an official statement “Awards in the Royal Victorian Order are made personally by The Queen, for services to the Sovereign.”

Other royal family members with the title include Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and the Queen’s own husband, Prince Philip.
