Stevie Wonder Joins Twitter with Powerful First Tweet

Stevie Wonder is now officially on Twitter and the iconic musician wasted no time in making his first ever tweet powerful and deeply poignant.

Marking the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s assassination, the grammy-award winning musician shared a video tribute to King’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

In the video, Wonder recruited famous people – from entertainers, politicians and sports figures – to shared their own dreams and desires in an effort to spread love and hope.

“On April 4th, 1968 at 7:05 p.m. central time, Dr. King’s life was cut tragically short. 50 years later a need for his dream to be fulfilled is far greater than ever. Share your dream & post your own #DreamsStillLive video. Spread love….spread hope.”

The video includes commentary from Dave Matthews, Meryl Streep, Michelle and Barack Obama and Apple CEO Tim Cook, among others.
