After former VP Joe Biden threw his hat into the Democratic presidential ring, President Trump took to Twitter to unveil his nickname for the long-time Senator, advising he is about to enter a “nasty” race.

“Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe,” Trump taunted in a Twitter post. “I only hope you have the intelligence, long in doubt, to wage a successful primary campaign. It will be nasty – you will be dealing with some people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas. But if you make it, I will see you at the starting gate.”

Biden announced he would be entering the presidential race, going up against fellow Democrats Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Kamala Harris among others.

“The core values of this nation, our standing in the world, our very democracy, everything that has made America — America — is at stake. That’s why today I’m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States,” Biden said in a video posted early Thursday.
