Anthony Scaramucci’s Short-Lived White House Career

After less than ten days on the job, Anthony Scaramucci is out as Trump’s media chief.

Trump’s new chief of staff, retired general John Kelly, reportedly wanted Scaramucci relieved of his duties as White House communications director. Scaramucci’s expletive-laced tirade he gave a New Yorker reporter about his colleagues is partly to blame.

During a press conference, President Trump’s spokesperson, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, told reporters, “The president certainly felt that Anthony’s comments were inappropriate for a person in that position. He didn’t want to burden General Kelly, also, with that line of succession.”

Ms. Sanders also told reporters Scaramucci has not been moved to another White House role.

President Trump was quick to quell any fears of dissent in the White House by tweeting, “No WH chaos!”

He later followed up the message by tweeting, “A great day at the White House!”
