Following the resignation of Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, comes the resignation of DNC CEO Amy Dacey, sources confirmed to Politico.
Two other members of the DNC also stepped down. In a press release on Tuesday, it was announced that the DNC CFO Brad Marshall and Communications Director Luis Miranda would also be resigning amid the hacked email controversy.
“Thanks in part to the hard work of Amy, Luis, and Brad, the Democratic Party has adopted the most progressive platform in history, has put itself in financial position to win in November, and has begun the important work of investing in state party partnerships,” interim chairwoman Donna Brazile stated. “I’m so grateful for their commitment to this cause, and I wish them continued success in the next chapter of their career.”
Last month, Wikileaks released over 20,000 emails containing information between DNC officials regarding the Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders campaign. Conversation of Sanders’ religion being used as a way to hurt his campaign was revealed by the email leak.
