Donald Trump Jr. has been subpoenaed by the Senate Intelligence Committee requesting him to return and testify again as they probe into Russian election interference.

Trump Jr. was one of the first members of the Trump family to be subpoenaed by the GOP led Intelligence Committee led by Republican Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina.

According to CNN, the subpoena is setting up a potential standoff between President Trump’s eldest son and the Senate Intelligence Committee, with sources revealing Trump Jr. is considering one of two actions: to invoke his fifth amendment rights or not appear at all.

Trump Jr. previously testified before the panel in 2017, with a source telling the Associated Press he has “continued to cooperate by producing documents and answering written questions.”
