Elon Musk took to Twitter over the weekend to announce his high-speed hyperloop tunnel project in Los Angeles is “almost done” and will soon be open for public rides.

The Boring Company founder and CEO said their first test tunnel would be open on December 11th for public rides. According to The Boring Company website, the tunnel, which will help travelers avoid the highly congested L.A. traffic, runs from SpaceX’s parking lot east of Crenshaw Boulevard and south of 120th Street, it then turns west under 120th Street and remains underground along 120th Street for 2 miles.

Musk revealed the top speed inside the tunnel will be 155 mph, however according to The Boring Company’s website Musk envisions in the future a hyperloop high-speed underground public transportation system with speeds of up to 600 mph in a pressurized cabin.

According to Musk’s tweet, rides will be free on December 11th.
