Fergie’s rendition of the National Anthem at the NBA All-Stars game was not a hit with everyone.
Did #Fergie just try to Marilyn Monroe the Star Spangled Banner?

#Fergie managed to do the impossible….Black, white, young and old. No matter what your backround is, or your religious beliefs. Democrats and Republicans. We were all one. UNITED in the belief that she sang the worst version of the #NationalAnthem we have ever heard.

Fergie's performance was like if Lucille Ball & Marilyn Monroe had a love child.
In all seriousness, though, I give Fergie huge respect for revering our National Anthem, instead of kneeling during it. #Fergie

Many took to social media blasting the Glamorous singer’s slowed-down jazz style version of the Star-Spangled Banner and Fergie has now apologized for her performance.
These men being able to keep a straight face during Fergie’s national anthem is what really makes them all stars. pic.twitter.com/ewmvWnFQOb

Fergie revealed to TMZ, “I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA.”
“I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone,” said Fergie, who performed the National Anthem for President and Mrs. Obama at the 2009 White House Easter Egg Roll. “I love this country and honestly tried my best.”
