Kid Rock has announced he won’t run for a place in the U.S. Senate and actually never planned too.

The musician made the announcement during an hour-long interview on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM show, revealing the idea was kind of a hoax.
“F— no!” Kid Rock told listeners. “I’m not running for Senate. Are you f–ing kidding me? Like, who couldn’t f–ing figure that out?”
The hoax began a little over three months ago when he posted a “Kid Rock for Senate” sign on social media and began offering Kid Rock for Senate merchandise on a website. He told Stern the idea was a mixed blessing, saying, “It’s the worst advice I’ve ever gave myself, but it’s been the most creative thing I’ve ever done. And I’ve gotten to see everyone’s true colors.”
