President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump viewed Monday’s solar eclipse from the Truman Balcony at the White House, along with their son Barron.

First Lady Melania tweeted her excitement at viewing the eclipse, sharing, “Exciting to watch the total eclipse with @POTUS today!”

Daughter Ivanka was quick to remind her Twitter followers to “Remember to wear your glasses” a tweet her father may not have read.

The Trump family donned their protective eyewear at first to view the eclipse, but despite warnings from experts and his daughter to not look directly at the sun, the president momentarily removed his solar eclipse glasses to take a look – and naturally Twitter erupted!

If you also tried to view the eclipse with your naked eye doctors say seek medical attention if you are experiencing extreme headaches, sensitivity to light, eye pain and vision problems. Be aware though that symptoms may not occur immediately and can occur weeks after viewing the eclipse.
