Tom Hanks joined the latest line-up of Saturday Night Live, appearing as moderator Chris Wallace, in SNL’s parody of the third and final presidential debate.
Paired up with Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump and Kate McKinnon as Hillary Clinton, the much anticipated parody once again saw Baldwin’s character blurting out politically incorrect phrases, referring to the Mexican president as Mr. Guacamole and harping on about “bad hombres.” Baldwin also managed to poke fun at younger brother Stephen Baldwin, who is a Trump supporter.
Meanwhile McKinnon’s character was delightfully smug when failing to answer Hanks’ character’s email questions. “So you’re just never going to answer a question about your email?” Hanks asks. “No, but it was very cute to watch you try,” McKinnon quipped.
Later in the show Hanks portrayed a Trump supporter named “Doug,” sporting a “Make America Great Again” ball cap on SNL’s recurring skit “Black Jeopardy.”
This was Hanks’ ninth time hosting SNL. He first appeared on the hit show in the 1980’s.
